Diwali Episode
(Season 1 Finale)
𝘋𝘪𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘪, the ‘festival of lights’, celebrated each autumn by Hindus, Sikhs, Jains & Newar Buddhists, spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair. The lighting of ‘Diyas’ (candles) is symbolic of this.
In this special episode, I will be sharing some of my favourite music and poetry that celebrates the concept of “light” from my favourite poets ranging from Rumi, Hafiz, Amrita Pritam, Rabia Basri, Rabindranath Tagore to Emily Dickinson, Langston Hughes and Ai Qing. I dedicate this episode to anyone who has been going through difficult times and is in search of light. May you find it, and may it nourish you into a new chapter of existence🕯🙏💫
